Download it here. I hope you enjoy using it for a long time to come!
The PY Spam Gobbler is supplied in the form of a ZIP file. This consists of a folder with the app's ".py" script and complementary files, together with a copy of the PY Script Runner so that you don't need to install anything at all. The ZIP file needs "extracting", and this can be done anywhere in your file system, wherever convenient.
Full details are illustrated in the program HELP, which I suggest you have a look at immediately by clicking on the "?" icon.
The Spam Gobbler was created for LMDE 6 with the Cynnamon desktop.
LMDE 6 comes with Python 3 fully installed, together with the TKinter graphical interface. It was chosen because it works "out ot the box", with no hassle.
It may well run immediately on other Debian-compatible distros, especially other versions of Mint, but these have not been tested. Although LMDE is totally based on Debian, Debian itself is not so user friendly, so if you try to run the PY Spam Gobbler under Debian, you might find that you have missing Python 3 modules, and you will need to install them. The same thing goes for Ubuntu and other Debian-based distros.
My advice is to use LMDE 6 (and above, when available) if you can, and stick with it. It makes the user's life easier.
To run the PY Spam Gobbler, you need a screen size of at least 1920x1080 pixels.
If you don't have WINE installed already, click on the icon on the left to get it installed. There are a number of steps to be followed, but all you have to do is copy the commands and paste them into the Terminal app. The PY Spam Gobbler requires it, and it is generally very useful for running Windows apps and modules.
