To run the app, return to the folder on the DESKTOP, and double-click on the program icon.

If you wish to install and run the app in WINDOWS rather than here in LMDE, the procedure is identical:

1) Extract the ZIP file to the desktop.

2) Run the installation ("_instalar.exe"). IGNORE and/or remove any icons created by the setup.

3) Double-click on "_Traveller's Companion.exe" in the DESKTOP FOLDER.

Download the ZIP file provided to your computer DESKTOP.

Right-click on it, and choose "Extract Here" from the popup list. The folder "travel" will then appear. Double-click on it to see the contents. It contains the setup file "_instalar.exe", the program file "_Traveller's Companion.exe", and a collection of complementary files.

Inicialmente, é mostrado um mapa visual das 20 aulas, baseado em situações comuns. Passar o mouse sobre as pequenas imagens mostra uma dica que identifica a situação. Clique naquele de sua preferência para iniciar a aula.

Initially, you are shown a visual map of the 20 lessons, which are based on common situations. Moving the mouse over the little pictures shows a tool tip which identifies the situation. Click on the one of your choice in order to begin the lesson.

Digamos que você clique primeiro na Lição 1:

Let's say you click on Lesson 1 first:

Ao passar o mouse sobre os controles (canto inferior direito), uma breve descrição de sua função será mostrada no retângulo indicado pela seta vermelha.

As you pass the mouse over the controls (bottom right), a brief description of their function will be shown in the rectangle indicated by the red arrow.

Se você clicar nas linhas do diálogo, você ouvirá a frase/sentença falada em inglês, e o texto mudará para inglês (mostrado em VERMELHO).

If you click on the lines of the dialogue, you will hear the phrase/sentence spoken in English, and the text will change to English (shown in RED).

That's just an example of what you can do.

Para ir para outra aula (situação), você pode retornar à exibição pictórica das mesmas clicando em “Situation Display” no painel de controle.
Mas você também pode usar as caixas numeradas na parte superior.
As pequenas setas no canto superior direito levarão você para a parte ANTERIOR/SEGUINTE da lição.
Cada lição consiste em uma ou duas páginas de diálogo e um diálogo de perguntas/respostas.

To go to another lesson (situation), you can return to the pictorial display of them by clicking on "Situation Display" in the control panel.

But you can also use the numbered boxes at the top.

The little arrows in the top right-hand corner will take you to the PREVIOUS/NEXT part of a lesson.

Each lesson consists of one or two pages of dialogue, and a question/answer dialogue.
